HPC was established in 1995. In 1997, a 10-hectare plant was opened in FCIE adding to the two existing state-of-the-art production bases in China. The world-class European technology admired by millions is now fused with Filipino creativity and ingenuity. After just a few years of operation, and with over 55% market share, HCG became the no. 1 total bathroom solutions provider in the Philippines.

The said establishment was subjected to validation visit on 03 September 2021 to determine its continuous compliance with the minimum public health and safety protocols based on DTI and DOLE Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. Based on the results of the validation, HPC has been found to be compliant with the minimum public health and safety standards such as compliance with registration requirements, adoption of digital contact tracing tool, wearing of face masks and face shields for employees, clients and visitors, physical distancing and disinfection among others.

One of the company’s best practices is the use of Lenus, an anti-virus guard functioning as a thermal scanner and alcohol dispenser. Lenus also uses voice prompts to alert users with no face masks to wear one upon entering the establishment.

Regional Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman led the ceremonial awarding and congratulated the company for having attained the certification. In his message, RD Guzman said that safety should not be compromised.

“There should be no lesser standards, hence, the highest standards must always be observed. Safety is something that we do not compromise. Safety and security of workers is our top priority and the company’s compliance must be continuous”

RD Guzman also thank the company for its cooperation with the Department’s program and for its harmonious relationship with the union and local government especially during this pandemic. He also reminded the company to enhance its partnership with DOLE and do not hesitate to request for any assistance that can be provided to them.

Meanwhile, HCG’s Assistance Vice-President for Project Development, Mr. Romuald Boyd E. Ponce said that the issuance of Safety Seal to the company is an assurance and symbolism of their strict compliance with the standards set by the government.

“Just like our slogan ‘I can live here’, this Safety Seal Award is another proof that employees of HCG can truly live here. They can work here and feel safe and secured at all times,” AVP Ponce added.
