PETRON ROSARIO RECEIVES BACK-TO-BACK SAFETY MILESTONE AWARDS FROM DOLE CAVITE

In recognition to their compliance and strict implementation to safety and health policies and procedures, Petron Corporation – Rosario Terminal was awarded by the Department of Labor and Employment - Cavite with Certificate of Recognition for Achieving 6 Million Man-Hours without Lost Time Accident on March 01, 2022.

A “lost time accident” refers to a work-related accident or injury that results in an employee having to take time off from work. The Certificate signifies that there was no “lost time accident” recorded and occurred within the establishment for a certain period.

Simultaneously the company’s Safety Seal Certificate was renewed for its continuous compliance with the enforcement of the minimum public health standards based on the DTI and DOLE Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. The awarding was held at Petron Corporation - Rosario Terminal located at General Trias Drive, Rosario, Cavite.

Engr. Joseph Gacosta, Officer-in-Charge of DOLE Cavite Provincial Office recognizes the company’s significant milestone and extends his gratitude to Petron for its continuous compliance with the standard set by the government.

 

Additionally, Engr. Joey P. Ortega, Terminal Manager of Petron, assured that their compliance with DOLE will be continuous. He also stated that Petron always go beyond the standard for the safety and welfare of its employees.

Petron was incorporated in the Philippines on December 22, 1966 as “Esso Philippines Inc.” and was renamed to Petron Corporation in 1974. Petron is mainly involved in the refining of crude oil and the marketing and distribution of refined petroleum products, mainly for the domestic market, it also supplies more than one-third of the Philippine’s petroleum product requirements and is the largest oil company in the country.

The ceremony was also attended by DOLE officials Ma. Angelique E. Yaun and Engr. Alfred Ray O. Daño, Senior LEO and LEO III respectively, Petron Corporation officials, Terminal Supervisor, Engr Raymond Bautista, Terminal Staff & Union Representative’s Noel Andrade and Joseph Reyes.
