In order to achieve the goal of providing sustainable livelihood to displaced workers and seasonal workers, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON through DOLE Cavite Provincial Office (DOLE CPO) awarded livelihood assistance to 56 beneficiaries from eleven (11) municipalities of Cavite last June 2, 2022 held at Puregold, Hugo Perez branch located at Trece Martires City, Cavite.

A total of Php643,636.00 worth of kabuhayan assistance was given to displaced and seasonal workers from various cities and municipalities of Cavite.

For Carlo Marie Guaresma, a beneficiary from Anahawi Silang, Cavite, the livelihood assistance is a huge help in augmenting his family’s income and expresses his uttermost gratitude while receiving his rice and grocery supplies.

“Malaking tulong po ito para maiangat ang aming buhay lalo na sa pagsisimulang muli ng aming munting pamilya. Sobrang salamat po.”

One door may close for these displaced workers but new doors are bound to open for them.

Awarding livelihood assistance is a staple that endings are not always bad omen, it could also serve as a reminder that despite hardship, our Filipino traits of bayanihan and unity will prevail.
