The Department of Labor and Employment CALABARZON (DOLE CALABARZON) resumed the conduct of its on-site Job Fair in line with the celebration of the 120th Day of Labor Day this year with the help of its provincial offices particularly DOLE Rizal Provincial Office (DOLE Rizal).

In collaboration with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Rizal and Antipolo City, 26 companies across Region IV-A and Metro Manila offered a total of 2,150 job vacancies on the Labor Day Job Fair to jobseekers.

Rizal Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Victoria B. Natananuan extended her gratitude to employers who participated in this job expo.

“Una po ay ang pasasalamat po natin sa ating participating employers na narito po ngayon sa Ynares Event Center sa pagbibigay po nila ng serbisyo sa ating mga job seeker. Alam ko po dapat nakapahinga po kayo ngayon, pero nandito po kayo ngayon para magbigay ng serbisyo sa ating mga manggagawa., Natanauan expressed.

A total of 1,063 job applicants applied to different employers, hoping that one of them would be deemed fit in their job openings.

Layra Delgado, Head of Human Resource Department of Ramosco Sales Distribution, Inc., admitted that they trimmed the long and hefty process of hiring for they believe that many jobseekers are struggling to find a work in this time of crisis.

“We slim ‘yung ating recruitment process it’s because, alam naman namin ngayon mahirap ‘di ba? Ang hirap maghanap ng trabaho. Alam natin ‘yung mga tao natin is in need of work because of the pandemic. So, this is also one way of helping our applicants, na hindi na masyadong pahirapan,” Delgado said.

Ramosco a company engaged in logistics and distribution of product that is based in Cainta hired six applicants on-the-spot for helper/driver position.


Adrian Raymundo, a 26-year-old jobseeker that Ramosco hired-on the-spot (HOTS), shared that he was nervous when he applied.

“Medyo nakakakaba, pero worth it naman po kasi natanggap po tayo sa trabaho!” Raymundo exclaimed.

DOLE Rizal has recorded 280 applicants to have secured job posts on-the-spot with companies including One Puhanan, J&T Express, Ramosco Company, Ace Hardware Philippines, ARC Refreshments Corporation, Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala, Paramount Human Resource Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Rzlava Internet Communication Service, Sanford Marketing Corporation, SM Appliance Center, Supervalue Inc., and Wizard Manpower and Allied Services, Inc.

Job Fair is one of the strategies devised by the Department to fast-track the recruitment process for local and overseas employment. Employers gather in one venue to meet the jobseekers reducing cost and effort. Applicants are expected to choose which job posts are fit for their qualifications.

During the said event, DOLE Rizal also awarded PhP 234,675.00-worth of livelihood assistance to VIBES Multi-Purpose Cooperative. The cooperative aims to form a condiments-making business which sells products like atsara and chili oils.
