DOLE BPO HOLDS WAGE ORIENTATION IN BATANGAS CITY

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON, through its Batangas Provincial Office (BPO), conducted a wage orientation in OCVAS Research Center, Bolbok, Batangas City, recently.

DOLE BPO Director Predelma M. Tan attended the celebration with remarks emphasizing her great appreciation for the Batangas Province Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (BPTIPC) for organizing the first face-to-face general assembly.

 



Furthermore, in her opening message, Ms. Madonna E. Dio, Vice Chair for Management of the BPTIPC, expressed her initiative to conduct more activities for the benefit of the council members.

During the morning session, 82 participants from different companies joined the orientation.

To accommodate more employees and management representatives, DOLE BPO conducted another orientation with 69 participants in the afternoon.

Mr. Gener Rivera, Labor and Employment Officer III of the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board (RTWPB), discussed important contents of Wage Order No. IV-A-19. Mr. Rivera also tackled the Exponential and Cut-off methods in resolving wage distortion issues.

Aside from these topics, he also promoted the available free training sessions of RTWPB on values and other productivity schemes in the workplace which employers may avail to improve their workers' productivity.

To cap off the event, Mr. Ruel Punzalan, Vice Chair for Labor of BPTIPC, shared encouraging closing remarks for the session attendees.
