DOLE CALABARZON LAUDS HIGH PERFORMING PESOs, JPOs DURING ITS PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING EXE

In pursuit of excellent employment services in the region, DOLE CALABARZON awarded High Performing PESOs and JPOs during its FY 2022 Performance Assessment and Planning Exercises on 25-27 January 2023 at the Batangas Country Club, Batangas City, Batangas.

A total of 80 awards were conferred during the activity composed of 18 High Performing PESOs in Referral and Placement of Qualified Jobseekers; 20 High Performing PESOs in Provision of Labor Market Information; 13 High Performing PESOs in the conduct of Career Advocacy and Employment Coaching; 12 PESO Employment Information System (PEIS) Champions; 12 citations for PESOs and JPOs with the most number of DOLE programs facilitated and reported; and 5 Special Citations.

 



In his message, DOLE CALABARZON Assistant Regional Director Atty. Nepomuceno A. Leaño II cited the significant accomplishments of the PESOs particularly in facilitating the placement of 177,460 jobseekers garnering 90.58% placement rate. “With this, I would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude for the strong partnership nurtured between DOLE CALABARZON and the PESOs and JPOs that led to considerable achievements in the field of employment facilitation services, and positive impact in the government’s socio-economic recovery efforts,” ARD Leaño said.

The CALABARZON PESOs and JPOs are likewise responsible for reaching 430,992 individuals with relevant labor market information, and 219 career advocacies covering 39,825 students in 187 academic institutions.

There were also 190 job fairs conducted participated by 2,476 establishments with 351,774 vacancies, wherein some 24,061 jobseekers were deemed qualified and 50.3% of them were hired-on-the-spot.

 



Some 10,023 youth were also assisted under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) with the support of 96 participating employers from the government and private sector.

DOLE CALABARZON Regional Director Atty. Ma. Karina B. Perida-Trayvilla likewise extended her overwhelming gratitude and support to the PESOs and JPOs for these achievements. “I will be proud to report these to the Central Office as we have achieved this impressive scorecard as One CALABARZON,” Director Trayvilla remarked.
