“Ito ay para sa mga ka-barangay natin.” This was the resonating theme for Lucena City’s Skills Registry System (SRS) Orientation and Training held last February 04 and 16, 2012 at the ABC Building in Lucena City Hall Annex.
The SRS is a project spearheaded by DOLE wherein applicants register their personal information and readily available online for possible employers.
A total of 78 participants (barangay chairpersons, secretaries and PESO personnel) were oriented on how to use the SRS and procedures on how to properly fill-out the forms and conduct employment status monitoring.
A turnover ceremony of IT equipment for SRS was conducted on 21 February 2012 at DOLE Quezon Field Office with Lucena City Mayor, Hon. Barbara Ruby C. Talaga and DOLE Quezon’s Provincial Officer, Mr. Virgilio T. Magsino.
A computer set with printer was donated to the City Government to facilitate report processing as well as encoding of SRS forms in the Phil-JobNet website and SRS Database.
Mayor Talaga expressed her gratitude to DOLE for their donation and promised to implement the project to help her constituents find better jobs. Mayor Talaga said “Hahanapin ang mga Lucenahin ng trabaho, dahil sila ay nakarehistro!"
