WORKING TOGETHER FOR CHILD’S RIGHTS & DIGNITY THROUGH ANGEL TREE
Children beneficiaries of Project Angel Tree line up to receive their food packs and gift packages during the gift-giving activity.

The DOLE Cavite Provincial Office celebrated its 9th year anniversary of the implementation of Project Angel Tree. The continuous program to eliminate the worst forms of child labor has gone too far for Cavite, not just an ordinary gift-giving activity but also encourages the children to be in school and not on a hazardous work.

The project’s implementation is of big help in the enhancement of social protection for vulnerable workers at the barangay level. A strong public-private partnership between the government and the private companies in Cavite is a life-changing event in a child’s life. Being in school and given an educational assistance and scholarship is one of the wishes granted to a child every year. Education is one of the important aspect to uplift the dignity of the former child laborers who are now in school pursuing their dreams.

Engr. Joseph P. Gacosta, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE-CPO delivers his inspirational message to program partners, stakeholders and private individuals for their continuous support to Project Angel Tree.
