At the recently concluded Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) last September 25, 2016 held in Lucena City, Mr. Efren B. Esguerra, Jr., one of DOLE QPO’s SPES beneficiaries managed to be in the 10th place with an obtained average rating of 86.20%.
Esguerra is a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education with Academic Commendation at the Philippine Normal University South Luzon in Lopez, Quezon. He was given the chance to avail of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) in Calauag, Quezon. As a SPES beneficiary he was assigned at the different units of the Local Government of Calauag. He regarded the program as it exceeded his expectations to acquire more knowledge and skills. It enabled him to develop interpersonal relationships and enjoy the experience to apply his acquired education by applying work ethics while observing the essence of public service.
He expressed his gratitude for being part of the program and shares the privilege as the first SPES beneficiary in their barangay. “I hope in the near future, more and more students can avail of the program,” he remarked.
The DOLE Quezon Provincial Office continues to partner with all stakeholders both in the local government units of the province and the private sector through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in developing and producing more successful SPES babies.
