Home to 105 companies across several industries including automotive, manufacturing, warehousing and many others, the Laguna Technopark located in Biñan City, Laguna is the perfect venue for the establishment of the DOLE Clinic featuring the organization’s programs and services in Labor Standards, Labor Relations, Employment and Welfare.
With the presence of several locators alongside DOLE officials, the Laguna Technopark Terminal II Satellite Office was packed for the launch of the DOLE Clinic which pioneered in CALABARZON on 22 November 2017 celebrated with Continuing Labor Education Seminars and Labor Laws Compliance Consultations.

Under the guidance of DOLE Regional Director Ma. Zenaida A. Angara-Campita, DOLE Laguna Officer-in-Charge Guido R. Recio, in partnership with Laguna Technopark Association, Inc. (LTAI), General Manager Ana Marie A. Molano led the DOLE Clinic launching with a simple ribbon-cutting ceremony.

LTAI General Manager, Ms. Molano, enthusiastically took the stage to welcome attendees comprised of DOLE officers, management representatives, and workers passing by. She expressed her delight in accomodating the DOLE Clinic at the Laguna Technopark having extended th same hospitality to SSS and PAG-IBIG earlier this year. Providing readily accessible government services to locators has been among the priorities of her team in the hopes of encouraging timely compliance of companies to regulatory standards.

In his s hort message, OIC Recio reiterated, ‘’The DOLE Clinic will be the center of the Department’s pubic assistance agencies on matters such as local employment, General Labor Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Standards, labor relations, and livelihood assistance.’’

Following the brief ceremonial launching, the group proceeded to the LTI Multi-Purpose Hall for sessions of Continuing Labor Education Seminar on Department Order 183, ‘’DO 183-17 Revised Rules on the Administraion And Enforcement of Labor Laws Pursuant To Article 128 of the Labor Code, as Renumbered’’ with OIC Recio as the Resource Speaker.

An open forum was held right after the CLES session to clarify provisions in the newly released order. Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Nora T. Aguilar was at the desk to attend to queries pertaining to workers’ rights and benefits. Senior Labor and Employment Officer Peter James Cortizar likewise provided assistance to attendees.

It was an opportune time for the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board IV-A represented by Ms. Milca Lopez and Mr. Gener Rivera to introduce their free productivity orientation, seminar and assistance to companies.

As DOLE Laguna strengthens its presence at the Laguna Technopark, Continuing Labor Education Seminars alongside labor laws consultations will be conducted quarterly to bring DOLE programs and services straight to over 100 locators.
